Feature: Tutu Du Monde and Toddler Flower Girl Hair

Today's inspiration for your little flower girl comes from the sweet style of Tutu Du Monde 'In the Wings' collection. The self-described whimsy and delicate styles of princesses and fairies lets your little girl dress up like the star of a fairy tale. The vintage-esque dresses are accompanied by the line's gorgeous hair pieces, headdresses, hairclips, fairy wings, and jewelry.  Tutu de Monde also has a great selection of elegant shrugs and capes, which personally I have a hard time finding. These make a great option to convert a spaghetti strap dress into something more suited for fall and winter events.

The hairstyles featured in Tutu Du Monde's 'In the Wings' lookbook include elegantly loose buns. Note: Be sure to part your toddler's hair to one side, using extra gel if her hair isn't used to that, then secure each pigtail with an elastic into a ponytail before twisting it into a bun. Use a second elastic to hold the bun in place. Don't worry about the little wisps of hair that come down on the side, that's part of what makes this hairstyle so sweet!

Mint shoes picture above can be found at Joy Folie.
Ivory parasol (the same one I used in my wedding and it is truly gorgeous!) from Amazon.
Pink Peony bouquet from Wedding Chicks.

Toddler Braids and Twists

Finding a cute, stylish hairdo for your toddler girl can be challenging, and is by far the most popular on my blog. So I thought I would post some new styles, featuring toddler's fine, wispy hair pulled back into adorable twists and braids. The trick is to start with wet hair, and have lots of hair gel (not spray gel) on hand.

If your little girl has a hard time sitting still, like mine, I would gather snacks and put on a movie or favorite tv show to distract her and help her hold still. These styles are nice because they don't involve any heat, like curling irons or flat irons.

Styles tend to look cleaner if you take the time to get parts very straight, which is also much easier with wet hair and gel or pomade. Note: If using pomade, a tiny bit goes a very long way!

Today's post is all about young flower girl hairstyles, and focusing on toddler flower girls with short or fine hair, where a headband or wreath is your best bet for a formal style.

Disneyland Hairstyles for Toddlers to Tweens

Since we bought annual passes to Disneyland in 2012, my daughter has gotten nearly every hairstyle offered by Downtown Disney's Studio 365 Hair Salon, and a couple of our favorites from Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, which is inside Disneyland, they also have bibbidi bobbidi boutique locations at Disney World and on Disney Cruise Line's Fantasy Ship.

Disney 365 offers more Rock Star hairstyles, if your daughter is more of a diva than a princess and wants a gorgeous hairdo while you are at Disneyland and California Adventure. In fact, they use so much gel that the hairstyles often stay for several days, even through sleeping and swimming.

I love how they let the girls choose colored hair extensions.

This first style is 'Take a Bow', and the girls can choose one color of extension as part of the package.

New Toddler Hair Inspiration from Harper Beckham (2014)

New photos and cute hair inspiration from my favorite toddler, Harper Seven Beckham. Her mum opts for a sweet bun in her fine baby hair, which is always a classy look. Also new pics from New York City Fashion Week 2014.

Toddler Flower Girl Hair for your Summer Wedding

I love these flower head wreaths that are a simplistic take on the classic flower girl hair pieces. This hippy-style is inspired by Kate Moss' wedding.
